Re-creatures program relaunches at Rome's Pelanda in Testaccio

festival-fair · 2026-04-27

The Pelanda, located in Rome's old slaughterhouse, has reopened its doors with the Re-creatures initiative, overseen by curator Ilaria Mancia. Originally launched last summer, this program resumed in March 2022 and will gain momentum in May, featuring events throughout June and July. Kicking off on May 5-6, MP5 and Alessandro Sciarroni will perform, followed by Motus with 'You were nothing but wind' on May 17-18. Muna Mussie's installation-action 'Oblio' is scheduled for May 22, and the series wraps up with 'Echoic Choir' on May 28. Additionally, the Prendersi-cura residency will showcase various artists, while the Ricreazione educational program offers complimentary workshops for both children and adults, along with the Master MAP_PA in Performing Arts, organized by Palaexpo and Accademia di Belle Arti.
