Re.Circle at Superstudio Più: Urban Art Between Memory, Transformation, and Public Space
During Milan Design Week, the rooftop of Superstudio Più hosts Re.Circle – Fenomenologia dell'arte urbana, curated by Ivan Tresoldi. The project features live interventions, talks, and performances exploring urban art's evolution. The Felipe Cardeña Crew creates the collective mural Another World Is Possible in real time. A talk titled “Design Urbano” includes critic Alessandro Riva, who curated the pioneering 2007 exhibition “Street Art Sweet Art” at PAC, marking street art's museum legitimization in Italy. Artists Pao, Flycat, and Daniele Nicolosi (BROS) discuss the shift from writing to figurative street art and the loss of radicality through institutionalization. Landscape architect Francesco Garofalo addresses urban standardization. Gisella Borioli recounts bridging illegal street art and institutions. Younger initiatives like BAU – Bovisa Art Urbana engage in participatory practices. The program continues April 23 with Poetry Day featuring Ivan Tresoldi's open call, live painting, Paolo Cerruto's slam poetry, and chef Davide Oldani with Francesco Zani of knIndustrie. April 24's Movimentarte includes YoY Performing Arts and live music. April 25 focuses on graphics, print, and design with live printing and Marco Lastrada's live painting. The rooftop previously hosted Michelangelo Pistoletto's Terzo Paradiso.
