RCA and Norwich University of the Arts to Jointly Award Undergraduate Degrees

In London, the Royal College of Art (RCA) has formed a partnership with Norwich University of the Arts (NUA) to collaboratively offer undergraduate degrees. These degrees will be validated through a shared academic framework, with more specifics to be revealed this summer. The inaugural group of students is anticipated to enroll at NUA in September 2024. An RCA representative mentioned that although the college has previously validated undergraduate degrees, it has been over 30 years since their last instance, marking this as their first joint awarding collaboration. The partnership aims to leverage shared objectives and complementary strengths. Vivienne Stern, chief executive of Universities UK, commended the initiative as a progressive response to national educational needs, amid ongoing cuts in the arts and humanities sectors across UK universities.
