Ray Phoenix: Johnston Marklee's green-tinted residential tower opens in Arizona

Ray Phoenix, a 26-story residential tower with 401 units, has been completed in Phoenix, Arizona. Designed by Johnston Marklee & Associates in partnership with Lamar Johnson Collaborative, the building features green metal and glass facades with interior materials including concrete and green tile. It is the third project by Ray, the lifestyle brand founded by Dasha Zhukova Niarchos, following Ray Philly and Ray Harlem. The building includes ground-floor retail and amenities, and integrates artworks by Alex Israel, Francesco Vezzoli, Carlisle Burch, and Rocki Swiderski, commissioned as part of the architecture. Landscape design by Grace Fuller Marroquín features lush planting throughout. The design draws on desert modernism and references Luis Barragán and Donald Judd. The project was co-developed with Vela and is located in the Roosevelt Row Arts District.
