Ravo Mattoni paints classical mural for Bassano urban regeneration project
The RAME Project, an initiative using art for urban regeneration, has completed three new murals in Bassano del Grappa, Italy. Artist Ravo Mattoni painted a classical-style mural on a wall behind the Frassati oratory in Santa Croce. Other murals were created by Seacreative on Via De Blasi near the train station and by Lucamaleonte on a wall at the Marchesane multipurpose center, with help from a local middle school. The project, conceived by Andrea Koes and coordinated by the Urban Center association with support from the municipal administration and the Culture Department, aims to revitalize city spaces through street art, offering artists a platform to reinterpret the urban environment and create an alternative cultural route through the city and its outskirts. Previous interventions involved street artists Peeta and Luca Font in Verona, and Ericailcane and Cento Canesio in the Via Tabacco underpass in Bassano.
