Ravenna street art festival Subsidenze reimagines Dante and Virgil
From September 22 to 30, 2020, Ravenna hosted its sixth Subsidenze urban art festival, showcasing four murals along with a temporary installation by artists Zed1, Millo, Biancoshock, Luogo Comune, and Labadanzky. This initiative, titled "Virgilio e Dante 4.0," commemorates the upcoming 2021 anniversary of Dante Alighieri's death and is part of a collaboration between Ravenna and Mantua, backed by ANCI and the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. Millo produced two murals featuring Dante and Virgil, while Luogo Comune illustrated the Divine Comedy. Zed1 depicted a battle against a devil, Labadanzky introduced a robot reminiscent of Virgil, and Biancoshock's crossword puzzle focused on social inclusion. Marco Miccoli, the artistic director, aims to enhance the artworks with augmented reality by spring 2021.
