Rare Swiss Luger pistol sells for $307,500 at Morphy's auction

At Morphy's Firearms & Militaria auction, which took place from May 12 to 14, 2026, a DWM 1900 Swiss Luger semi-automatic pistol with the serial number 01 was sold for $307,500. This particular firearm is notable as the first Military Contract Luger, produced under a 610-gun agreement for Switzerland in May 1901. Additionally, a Singer Model 1911A1 .45 ACP pistol, manufactured by the Singer Sewing Machine Co. in 1940, garnered $184,500. The auction, consisting of 400 lots, showcased high-quality antique and collectible firearms, including a special collection celebrating the 250th anniversary of the Revolutionary War from the estates of David Grunberg and Gary Schlottstein.
