Rare Studio Experimental Designs Native Plant Installation for Cosquín Rock Festival 2026

architecture-design · 2026-04-19

Rare Studio Experimental has designed La Vuelta al Monte, a 100 m² installation for the Cosquín Rock Festival 2026 in Argentina. The project, categorized as an installation and greenhouse structure, aims to reconnect the festival with its surrounding territory by promoting awareness and conservation of native plant species. Curated by Valentina Díaz, the architectural team includes lead architects Iván Ferrero and Agustín Willnecker, with design contributions from Robertino Gili and Victoria Echegaray. Construction is managed by Mil9, with specialized engineering support: lighting by Maestre, civil engineering by Mistretta, and structural engineering by Donadio. Project management is handled by Cosquín Rock, while landscape architecture is led by Ana Lund Petersen. Manufacturers Pintecord and Tapicor supplied materials for the structure. Photographer Victoria Echegaray documented the project, which is scheduled for completion in 2026. The installation serves as a physical device intended to highlight ecological relationships within the festival environment.
