Rare Jesuit Books Reveal Knowledge Circulation in Colonial Mexico
The National Museum of the Viceroyalty in Mexico has unveiled a new exhibition, "Between Folios: Handwritten Annotations. The MNV’s Historic Library." This display features 23 rare books originating from the College and Novitiate of the Society of Jesus in Tepotzotlán, showcasing works from the 16th to 18th centuries. Highlighting the significance of these texts in understanding the Pedro Reales Library's legacy, the exhibit focuses on the role of books in the exchange of knowledge during the colonial era.
