Raphaela Vogel's Solo Exhibition 'Vogelspinne' Opens at BQ Gallery During Gallery Weekend Berlin

exhibition · 2026-04-20

On Friday, 26 April, BQ Gallery in Berlin will unveil Raphaela Vogel's solo exhibition titled 'Vogelspinne,' aligning with Gallery Weekend Berlin. The artist's work features performance-driven films displayed on installations made from metal rods, ropes, foils, and found objects, delving into themes of surveillance and control through voyeuristic storytelling. In pieces like 'mogst mi du ned, mog i di' (2015), Vogel often includes herself, investigating the interplay of body, space, and technology. She confronts established power structures while integrating elements such as painted animal hides and urinals. Her art merges the physical with projected images of sites like lakes and quarries. Vogel, based in Amsterdam, previously exhibited at Westfälischer Kunstverein in Münster until 12 February 2017.
