Raphael Hefti Awarded Prix Mobilière at Artgenève, Correcting Earlier Misreport
Raphael Hefti has received the Prix Mobilière, an award established in 1996. The 2024 award presentation was notable as it occurred during the Artgenève art fair for the first time. Hefti emerged victorious from a shortlist that featured Nicolas Cilins, Bernhard Hegglin, Sophie Hofer, Mariann Oppliger, Thomas Julier, Nicolas Party, and Hannah Weinberger. He’s currently exhibiting solo at the Centre of Contemporary Art in Geneva. There was a previous error where ArtReview incorrectly named Nicolas Party as the winner, due to a newsletter from Party's gallery, The Modern Institute. ArtReview has since issued an apology to Party, the gallery, and Hefti, reaffirming Hefti as the rightful winner as noted by Bieler Tagblatt.
