exhibition · 2026-04-23

The exhibition 'Tragédia!', curated by Raphael Fonseca, is currently on display at Galpão da Fortes D’Aloia & Gabriel in São Paulo until October 15. It showcases more than 30 pieces from 13 artists, who delve into themes of destruction and loss, inspired by a fictional earthquake that struck Mogi Guaçu in 1922. This event coincides with Brazil's Bicentennial of Independence, Modern Art Week, and the national elections. Among the works are found objects like wood salvaged from the Museu da Língua Portuguesa fire by Anderson Borba and iron grates by Mayana Redin. Notable artists include Sonia Andrade, Ivens Machado, and Adriana Varejão. The exhibition is accessible from Tuesday to Friday, 10am to 7pm, and Saturday, 10am to 6pm.
