Randall Suffolk to Lead High Museum of Art in Atlanta

Randall Suffolk, who currently serves as the director and president of the Philbrook Museum of Art located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, has been selected to become the next Nancy and Holcombe T. Green, Jr. Director of the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, Georgia. He will take over from Michael E. Shapiro, who is set to retire on July 31 after a 15-year tenure. Suffolk, boasting two decades of experience in the museum sector, will begin his new role in November 2015. The High Museum, designed by Richard Meier in the early 1980s, features over 15,000 pieces of art, including 19th- and 20th-century American and decorative art, as well as modern and contemporary works. In 2002, the museum underwent an expansion with three additional buildings designed by Renzo Piano.
