Rampello & Partners Designs Italy Pavilion for Expo 2020 Dubai

Rampello & Partners, founded in 2017 by artistic director Davide Rampello and three young creatives—Tania di Bernardo, Greta Carandini, and Erika Bignami—has been tasked with designing the conceptual phase of the Italy Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, running from October 20, 2020, to April 10, 2021. The studio, formed during the creation of the Zero Pavilion at Expo Milano 2015, specializes in exhibitions, installations, events, festivals, and cultural communication. Their previous projects include Memory and Contemporaneity at the 2017 Venice Biennale, Milano XL during Milan Fashion Week 2017, and Panorama and Arts of Italy for OVS. The Italy Pavilion, titled "Beauty Connects People," will celebrate Italian excellence through a narrative journey exploring Italy's past, present, and future, emphasizing beauty as a connector of stories and geographies. The concept draws on the etymological root of "paradise" meaning "garden," evoking harmony and balance, and connects to the 2015 Milan Expo's agricultural and environmental themes. The studio aims to create emotionally engaging, educational experiences that transform cultural content into collective heritage accessible to all ages.
