Ramona Residency Announces 2026-2027 Artist Mothers Cohort with International Expansion

In Houston, the Ramona Residency has announced the selection of sixteen artists for its upcoming programs in 2026 and 2027, each featuring eight participants. Established in 2024 by Sarah Sudhoff, the residency aims to support women artists who are also mothers. Participants benefit from fully funded studio space for periods ranging from two to four weeks and gain access to the local artistic community. The program has expanded from three residents in 2024 to eight in 2025 and now welcomes international artists. A December exhibition, organized with Throughline Collective, will showcase both residents and other local artists. The 2026 term starts on May 1 with Jennifer Marion and includes seven others, wrapping up in November. The 2027 group will consist of eight artists from diverse locations, with opportunities for open studio sessions and artist talks throughout the year.
