Ramallah Art Fair 2026 Opens with 42 Artists at Zawyeh Gallery

On Saturday, January 31, 2026, the fifth Ramallah Art Fair, themed 'Narrative Under Occupation,' will commence at Zawyeh Gallery, showcasing 42 artists and more than 150 pieces of art. This event, which will continue until March 29, 2026, features both a Contemporary Section and a Rare Section, with affordable pricing aimed at attracting new collectors. In the Contemporary Section, Gaza's Maisara Baroud presents 'I'm Still Alive,' illustrating life amid genocide, while Sari Tarazi displays photo montages from Palestinian street protests. Golan Heights' Noor Elshaer introduces 'Tayyat (Folds),' focusing on intimacy and memory. The Rare Section, established in 2025, includes works by Burhan Karkutli, Vladimir Tamari, and Laila Shawa, along with a piece by Shafik Radwan, whose works were lost in Gaza. Organized by Zawyeh Gallery, the fair highlights narratives of identity, loss, and the daily experiences of occupation, as well as aspirations for a future free from it.
