Ramak Fazel's Milan Unit Archive at Viasaterna

Iranian artist Ramak Fazel (born 1965 in Abadan) presents Milan Unit, a year-long project at Viasaterna Arte Contemporanea in Milan, comprising an exhibition and a series of meetings and in-depth studies. The project showcases Fazel's meticulously curated archive from his fifteen-year stay in Milan (1994–2009). Visitors can select images from albums, actively shaping the initiative. Fazel, now 52 and living in California, holds a degree in mechanical engineering and worked in Milan for fifteen years in fashion photography, interior design, and architecture, during which he systematized this archive. The work reflects a historical moment of epochal change, juxtaposing private and collective documents for study and preservation.
