Ralph Lauren Collaborates with Gee's Bend Quilters for Limited Edition
Ralph Lauren's Artist in Residence program has partnered with talented textile artists Claudia Pettway Charley and Loretta Pettway Bennett from Gee's Bend, Alabama, to introduce a special limited-edition line of clothing and home decor. This collection is inspired by the region's rich quilting heritage, featuring bold colors, unique geometric patterns, and hand-stitched elements made from upcycled Ralph Lauren fabrics. Notably, Pettway Bennett incorporates her signature red triangles as a tribute to her sons, while Pettway Charley showcases her natural flair for color. The collection also includes hand-painted ceramic dishes from Italy that echo the quilts' organic feel. Since launching in 2023, this marks the fifth collaboration, with a portion of sales benefiting the Equal Justice Initiative's hunger relief efforts in Alabama.
