RAID invades Turin school for third edition, streaming live
The third edition of RAID, named 'La Ricreazione', was held on November 3, 2017, at the Istituto Comprensivo Pertini in Turin's Lingotto area. Organized by FatStudio, this event featured 21 artists and involved 1,200 middle school students and teachers. Each artist utilized a webcam connected to their personal YouTube channel, with a majority of the activities broadcast live on fatstudio.org from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The school, situated in the former Olympic village from the 2006 Winter Games, grapples with issues such as delinquency, integration, and budget constraints. All artwork created during the six-hour event was donated and exhibited on November 4. To support the initiative, FatStudio published a serigraphed artist book, limited to 100 copies, available from October 30. Notable participating artists included Veronica Bisesti, Alessandro Brighetti, and many others. Previous RAID events took place in Bologna and Milan.
