Rai Cultura Launches Art Night, a New TV Series on Art

Art Night, a new television series from Rai Cultura, is set to debut on Rai5 on October 18 at 9:15 PM. The creators aim to present innovative narratives about art. The show, directed by Andrea Montemaggiori and penned by Silvia De Felice, Alessio Aversa (who also serves as the host), and Marta Santella, will showcase a variety of international documentaries, original productions, and art films from the Rai archive, emphasizing the preservation of Italian artistic heritage. Each episode will feature biographies of notable artists and discussions on contemporary issues like the art economy and cultural heritage. The inaugural episode presents the world premiere of Ombre elettriche, a documentary by Giuseppe Sansonna, exploring 1960s art in Rome and London, featuring interviews with prominent figures, including David Bailey.
