Raggioverde: 23 Artists Explore Landscape and Ecology in Siena

The exhibition 'Raggioverde' at the Santa Maria della Scala in Siena brings together 23 artists with 250 works reflecting on environment, diversity, and sustainability. Curated by Michela Eremita, the show is the result of over a year of collaboration with the Municipality and University of Siena, the Antarctic Museum, and the Botanical Museum and Garden of Siena, following two landscape workshops. The title references the rare optical effect and Éric Rohmer's 1986 film. Artists range from emerging collectives to established names like Chiara Bettazzi, Loris Cecchini, Luca Pancrazzi, Debora Hirsch, Pierluigi Pusole, and Sophie Ko. The project extends to other Sienese venues: Luca Pancrazzi's intervention at the Botanical Garden, Debora Hirsch's works on endangered Tuscan plants at the Botanical Museum, and works by Marco Acquafredda and Michele Guido at the Antarctic Museum. Participatory projects include Bernardo Giorgi's and Elena El Asmar's engagement with Sienese art history and the Palio tradition.
