Radio Italia named official radio of Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice
Radio Italia has been named the official radio station of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, renewing a partnership that began in 2008. The collaboration, announced in 2021, aims to bring the museum's 20th-century masterpieces to a wider audience through radio broadcasts. Karole P. B. Vail, director of the museum, stated that art can stimulate reflection and dialogue, and that this partnership will allow people to 'listen' to art and culture, offering comfort and inspiration during times of change. Marco Pontini, Vice President of Radio Italia, expressed pride in renewing the collaboration, highlighting plans to explore extraordinary masterpieces, charismatic artists, and unique events. Radio Italia, founded in 1982, is known for promoting Italian music and has previously supported cultural and theatrical events. The station will now also focus on disseminating art and culture to Italian audiences, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
