Rä di Martino's Film 'Controfigura' Stars Valeria Golino and Filippo Timi
The feature film 'Controfigura' was created by Rä di Martino (Rome, 1975) for the fourth edition of 'Museo Chiama Artista', an initiative backed by AMACI and MiBACT. Curators Iolanda Ratti and Alberto Salvadori oversee this project, which commissions works from Italian artists. The film features performances by Filippo Timi, Valeria Golino, Corrado Sassi, Younes Bouab, and Nadia Kounda, with co-production from Dugong Films, In Between Art Film, Snaporazverein, among others. Drawing inspiration from the 1968 cult classic 'The Swimmer', it narrates the journey of a film crew remaking it in Marrakech, highlighting the contrasts between opulence and the desert. 'Controfigura' received the Eurimages Lab Project Award at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival and is set to debut at the 74th Venice International Film Festival.
