Rä Di Martino and Giovanna Silva in Residence at Capri Travelogue
The Festival del Paesaggio returns to Capri with Travelogue, an artist residency program launched in 2010 by the Capri Palace Hotel. Curated by Arianna Rosica and Gianluca Riccio, Travelogue became part of the festival in 2016. This year's edition features a pool-themed exhibition and a focus on Depero's centenary, exploring the intersection of natural and artificial landscapes. From now until April 23, photographer Giovanna Silva (Milan, 1980) and artist Rä Di Martino (Rome, 1975) present works. Di Martino shows unpublished materials and photographs from her feature film La controfigura, shot in Marrakesh with Filippo Timi and Valeria Golino, inspired by John Cheever's The Swimmer. Silva creates a new photographic project for the festival, documenting famous island pools including the sponsor hotel's, highlighting tensions between nature and human intervention. The main festival runs from July 15 in Capri and Anacapri.
