architecture-design · 2026-04-22

The Laiva Plaza Hotel, a boutique venue in San José del Cabo, is set to finish by 2026. This project, led by Grupo Laiva, covers 1,557 square meters in the city's historic center and is designed by the RA! architecture firm. The creative team includes Santiago Sierra, Pedro Ramírez de Aguilar, and Cristóbal Ramírez de Aguilar, who aimed to blend the hotel with the surrounding pedestrian environment. Wabi Studio took charge of the interior design, while DDOZ Structural Engineering handled the structural aspects. Mechanical engineering was led by Antonio Villareal's GRAVA, and Eduardo Martínez managed the electrical systems. The hotel aims to improve public spaces and offer a welcoming atmosphere, with photography by Oscar Hernández and curation by Valentina Díaz.
