Quentin Bajac appointed director of Jeu de Paume in Paris
Quentin Bajac has been named the new director of Jeu de Paume in Paris, taking over from Marta Gili, who stepped down last summer for personal reasons. Bajac, who previously served as the photography curator at MoMA New York from 2013 to 2018, returns to France after holding curatorial positions at both the Centre Pompidou and Musée d'Orsay. Born in 1965, he is an alumnus of the Institut d'études politiques de Paris and the Institut national du patrimoine. At MoMA, he curated significant exhibitions, including a retrospective of Stephen Shore. Gili led Jeu de Paume for 12 years before resigning to focus on independent projects and family. Current exhibitions feature Dorothea Lange's "Politics of Seeing" and Ana Mendieta's "Covered in Time and History."
