Queen Unseen: Peter Hince's Intimate Photos of the Band at Fellini Museum

exhibition · 2026-04-27

The Fellini Museum in Rimini, set within Castel Sismondo, hosts 'QUEEN UNSEEN – Peter Hince', a traveling exhibition featuring intimate photographs of Queen taken by their road crew member and Freddie Mercury's personal assistant, Peter Hince. Born in England in 1955, Hince worked with artists like Mick Ronson, Lou Reed, and Supertramp before photographing Queen from 1976 to 1986, capturing candid moments in the studio, during video shoots, rehearsals, and live performances. The show also includes memorabilia from collector Niccolò Chimenti, such as Freddie Mercury's microphone stand from his last concert, an autographed Brian May guitar, Roger Taylor's drumsticks, and Mercury's suspenders. After successful runs in Turin and Gallipoli, the exhibition is in Rimini, then travels to Rome (December 7, 2023 – February 4, 2024), Milan (February 8 – April 22, 2024), and later to Budapest and other European cities.
