Qatar Museums hosts multi-day talks series with global art leaders during National Museum opening
QatarCreates, an initiative by Qatar Museums, is set to take place from March 26 to 28, 2019, in Doha, aligning with the inauguration of the National Museum of Qatar. The event will host over 50 prominent individuals from the realms of art, architecture, design, and film. On March 26 at 11:30 am, Mathaf will feature a panel discussion titled 'Museums of Modern Art – Current Trends, East and West,' led by moderator Mark Rappolt, with participants including Abdellah Karroum, Michael Govan, Adam Weinberg, Monica Narula, and Vasili Tsereteli. Additional sessions will explore themes such as 'Public Art & Cultural Heritage,' 'The Women's Gaze in Art and Life,' and 'Architecture as the Face of a Nation,' emphasizing global cultural leadership during this significant opening.
