QAGOMA Announces First Artists for 9th Asia Pacific Triennial Featuring Women's Wealth Project

The Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA) is gearing up for its 9th Asia Pacific Triennial, which will be held from November 24, 2018, to April 28, 2019. This exciting event will showcase over 80 artists, collectives, and filmmakers from more than 30 countries. Some standout names include Zico Albaiquni from Indonesia, Martha Atienza from the Philippines, and Australia’s own Lola Greeno. A special feature will be the Women's Wealth Project, highlighting the work of 30 women artists from Bougainville and the Solomon Islands, born from a workshop there. QAGOMA's director, Chris Saines, emphasized the project's focus on resilience. Attendees can look forward to free cinema screenings, workshops, discussions, and family-friendly activities.
