Q.I. Quartiere Intelligente video program moves from Naples to Zagreb's MSU

exhibition · 2026-05-05

The contemporary art program Q.I. Quartiere Intelligente, which since 2013 has been revitalizing the Montesanto district of Naples between Vomero and the Spanish Quarters, is taking its outdoor video installations on the road to Croatia. From September 21 to October 12, 2016, ten Italian artists will present their works on the media facade of the Museum of Contemporary Art Zagreb (MSU). The facade, designed by Ivan Franić in 2003, features three screens covering 400 square meters (100 linear meters) on the museum's north wall, creating an outward-facing exhibition space. Curator Adriana Rispoli selected works exploring the relationship between humans and nature. Artists include Luca Trevisani (Physical examination, 2014), Masbedo (Todestribe, 2014), Diego Cibelli and Lilli Messina (Circling Time), Bianco-Valente, Giovanni Giaretta, Dacia Manto, Raffaella Mariniello, Luana Perilli, 3Moio&Sivelli, and Filippo Berta (Homo Homini Lupus, featuring wolves tearing an Italian flag). Berta noted that works renew themselves according to social context, with the artist's authority fading.
