Pyramidice Board Game Launched at Turin's Egyptian Museum
Pyramidice, a new board game inspired by ancient Egypt, was presented at the Museo Egizio in Turin on December 2, 2023, during the event 'L'Antico Egitto si mette in gioco'. Created by Luigi Ferrini and developed by Ergo Ludo Editions (Italian edition by MS Edizioni, English edition by Ares Games), the game allows players to act as pyramid builders. The project began four years ago with the aim of immersing players in ancient Egyptian culture. Players can win by constructing pyramids or gaining favor from 38 Egyptian deities, each with unique characteristics. The game uses cards and dice, with artwork by Quentin Regnes and Oscar Casel. It offers a multiplayer classic version and a solo mode where players face ancient architects like Imhotep, Snefru, and Eminiu controlled by the game. At the presentation, Ferrini and professor Marco Mengoli discussed the game's creation, alongside editor Alessandro Lanzuisi, developer Lorenzo Maria Conti, and graphic designer Marco Pantaleoni.
