Pussycat Dolls cancel US reunion tour leg due to low ticket sales

The Pussycat Dolls have canceled nearly all US dates of their reunion tour because of poor ticket sales. Members Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts, and Kimberly Wyatt announced their return earlier this year with a new single and world tour. The group stated they made the "difficult and heartbreaking decision" after "taking an honest look" at the North American leg. Only one US show remains: their appearance at WeHo Pride in Los Angeles on June 6. The European leg, including nine UK and Ireland dates, will proceed as planned, with many shows already sold out. The tour was scheduled for 33 dates across the US and Canada in June, July, and August. High ticket prices and the choice of large arenas over theaters are believed to have contributed to weak sales. Fans had speculated about cancellations after seating charts showed many unsold seats. The cancellation follows similar moves by other artists like Post Malone and Meghan Trainor. North American ticket buyers will be refunded automatically if purchased via Ticketmaster or AXS; third-party buyers should contact their point of purchase. The European tour begins in Copenhagen in September and ends at London's O2 Arena on October 13. The reunion comes six years after a previous attempt was derailed by the COVID-19 pandemic and a legal dispute, and follows Scherzinger's award-winning role in Sunset Boulevard.
