Puppet Fringe Festival unveils landmark exhibitions at Clemente Soto Vélez Center

This August, the 4th International Puppet Fringe Festival (IPFF) will host a diverse array of exhibitions at the recently updated Clemente Soto Vélez Cultural & Educational Center located in New York's Lower East Side. Set to launch on August 12, the exhibitions will cover various galleries, public areas, and installations, highlighting puppetry in forms such as sculpture, installation, photography, cultural artifacts, and modern art. A significant highlight of the festival is a major retrospective titled Theodora Skipitares: Performing Objects–Four Decades of Abundant Ingenuity, honoring one of the most prominent visual theater artists in the United States. Additionally, attendees can look forward to a unique photographic collection from a renowned advocate of puppetry.
