festival-fair · 2026-05-05

The inaugural PuntoCon Festival is set to occur in Prato from October 1 to November 12, 2017. This event is organized by the PuntoCon Contemporaneo Condiviso network, which consists of eleven non-profit art venues. Attendees can expect a diverse array of activities, including art, photography, performances, workshops, artist residencies, exhibitions, music, site-specific projects, installations, participatory actions, and social gatherings. The festival is endorsed by the Culture Department of the Municipality of Prato, with support from MiBACT and SIAE through the Sillumina initiative aimed at youth and culture. The network was established during the reopening of the Centro per l'arte contemporanea Luigi Pecci, redesigned by Maurice Nio. Key participants include Artforms, Associazione [chi-na], C.U.T Circuito Urbano Temporaneo, and others. Culture Councillor Simone Mangani expressed the intention to make this event an annual tradition, while Pamela Gori, co-director of Artforms, highlighted the network's potential for enhancing visibility for independent art spaces.
