Puglia Art&Craft: Deni Bianco's Papier-Mâché Wonders

Puglia Art&Craft, a project promoted by Pugliapromozione – Agenzia Regionale del Turismo, showcases the region's craftsmanship and traditions. Among its featured artisans is Deni Bianco, a master papier-mâché artist and scenographer from Putignano. Bianco began his career in the workshops of the Carnevale di Putignano, where he developed his skill in the ancient art of papier-mâché. He creates contemporary art installations using paper, iron, and wood, and his work serves cinema, theater, and major events. The project aims to promote Puglia as a destination by highlighting local artisans who blend traditional techniques with innovative approaches, producing high-quality design objects and furnishings.
