Public Movement's First Italian Exhibition at Vistamarestudio in Milan

exhibition · 2026-05-04

The collective Public Movement will showcase "Temporary Orders," their inaugural exhibition and performance in Italy, at Vistamarestudio in Milan, starting November 10, 2018. Performances will occur by appointment on November 17, 24, December 1, 5, and 15. Established in 2006 in Tel Aviv by Omer Krieger and Dana Yahalomi, the group has concentrated on site-specific initiatives since Yahalomi's leadership began in 2011. The exhibition consists of five performances, each lasting 20 minutes, with no recordings retained in the gallery. "Temporary Orders" builds upon their 2015 work "National Collection" at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, focusing on Italian modern art that was looted or destroyed from 1909 to 1945. The final performance, "Debriefing Session: Vistamarestudio," seeks to engage the audience as active participants.
