Public Art Residency in Cilento for Artistic Collectives

other · 2026-04-27

Archivio Atena, a public art initiative located in Cilento National Park (Salerno), has introduced four residency grants supported by PNRR aimed at revitalizing historic villages through social and cultural means. The primary residency, known as Residenza di Censimento, provides €18,000 for a duration of 12 months, focusing on artistic collectives with a 'Census' concept to digitize cultural heritage. Chosen groups will create a diffuse campsite in neglected areas, collaborating with local residents for necessary services. Eligible applicants must comprise at least three members, including artistic collectives, with one possessing architectural expertise. Proposals should outline a vision for the campsite and an executive project by March 2023. The application deadline is January 27, 2023. Alessandro Imbriaco previously documented the project.
