Prostoria launches 20-piece furniture collection based on Vjenceslav Richter's prototypes at Salone del Mobile

architecture-design · 2026-04-21

During the Salone del Mobile in Milan, Prostoria, a Croatian furniture brand, introduced an impressive lineup of 20 new pieces called Revisiting Richter. This collection is inspired by the influential modernist architect Vjenceslav Richter, known for shaping Yugoslavia's post-war design with his distinct pavilions. It includes five sub-collections: VR51, VR52, VR53, VR58, and VR61. Notable pieces are the VR51 task chairs, echoing Richter's 1948 design, and the VR53 armchairs, which take cues from the 1960s furniture at the Hotel Adriatic. The VR58 showcases chairs inspired by the 1958 Brussels World's Fair. This collection will be on display from April 21 to 26, 2026, at Pavilion 24/Stand C25, Fiera Milano, Rho, Italy. Founder Tomislav Knezović emphasized its cultural significance.
