Prospect 6 Exhibition in New Orleans Showcases Site-Specific Works by 51 Artists Across 20 Venues

Running until February 2, 2025, Prospect 6, named 'The Future Is Present, The Harbinger Is Home,' is a citywide art exhibition in New Orleans. Curated by co-artistic directors Miranda Lash and Ebony G. Patterson, it showcases the works of 51 artists across more than 20 locations. At the Ogden Museum and Tremé park, visitors can find Ashley Teamer's mixed-media collages and sculptures. Andrea Carlson's piece, Trade Canoe for Earthdivers to Come (2024), is displayed at The Batture waterfront park, while Jeannette Ehlers's Hoist and the Unseen (2024) and Mel Chin's Pool of Light (2024) can be seen at the Ford Motor Plant. Other participating artists include Stephanie Syjuco, L. Kasimu Harris, Tuấn Andrew Nguyễn, and Hannah Chalew, focusing on themes of site-specificity, colonial histories, ecological crises, and resilience.
