Progetto Pola Opens in Rome Merging Visual Arts and Architecture

architecture-design · 2026-04-26

On November 17, Progetto Pola, a new cultural initiative resulting from the partnership between Spazio Taverna and morettiarchitettura, will debut in the Nomentano district of Rome. Situated at Viale Pola 6, this former parish cinema was once the home of the architecture studio established by Mario Moretti and Michael A. Lack. The venue aspires to serve as a vibrant laboratory where art and architecture converge. The opening event will showcase a collective takeover featuring artists such as Valerio D'Angelo, Antonio Della Guardia, and Caterina Sammartino, among others, who will create site-specific works. Progetto Pola aims to bridge various disciplines, with full programming set to commence in January 2026, including solo exhibitions and collaborative projects. The space also features a garden courtyard that separates exhibition areas from the street, allowing for outdoor initiatives.
