Progetto Ludovico: Milanese Private Collection Launches Acquisition Initiative

exhibition · 2026-04-27

Lorenzo Perini Natali, born in 1990 in Viareggio and now based in Milan, has launched Progetto Ludovico, a new initiative to open his private Perini Natali collection to a wider audience. The collection, started in 2015, focuses on emerging Italian and international artists. The first public event is the presentation of Daniele Costa's video "The Weaning of Goods – A mechanical affair" at Via Paisiello 5, Milan, marking the collection's first video acquisition. The video, set in the commercial port of Porto Marghera, explores the mechanisms and rhythms of port terminals, described as a mechanical symphony. A text by Rossella Farinotti accompanies the work, which will be on loop for three days. Progetto Ludovico plans future exhibitions, collaborations, and initiatives to engage the public beyond private spaces.
