Prix Pierre Daix 2025 awarded to Elvan Zabunyan and Clara Royer
Elvan Zabunyan has been honored with the Prix Pierre Daix 2025 for her book "Réunir les bouts du monde. Art, histoire, esclavage en mémoire," published in October 2024 by éditions B42. The Pinault Collection shared this exciting news. Born in Paris in 1968, Zabunyan works as a contemporary art historian, critic, and teaches at Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne University. Her work highlights key figures in African American and Caribbean art, like Arthur Jafa and Frank Bowling, within a broader artistic and historical framework. Additionally, Clara Royer has received the first-ever Pierre Daix Bursary for her research on art and telecommunications during the transformative years from the 1970s to the 1990s. A jury of ten experts in art and academia selected both recipients.
