Prix Marcel Duchamp shortlist revealed, Art Stage Singapore cancelled, and gallery partnership announced in Brussels

The Prix Marcel Duchamp has shortlisted four artists: Eric Baudelaire, Katinka Bock, Marguerite Humeau, and the duo Ida Tursic & Wilfried Mille. The winner will be revealed on 14 October, coinciding with an exhibition at the Centre Pompidou in Paris, running from 9 October to 6 January 2020. This prestigious award comes with a €35,000 cash prize. In other news, Art Stage Singapore 2019 has been abruptly cancelled without explanation. In April, the Baronian Xippas gallery will debut in Brussels, showcasing artists such as Darren Almond and André Butzer. Johanna Chromik has been appointed as the new artistic director of viennacontemporary, scheduled for 26–29 September. Meanwhile, MCH Group will continue to support the India Art Fair until a buyer is secured, despite divesting from Art Düsseldorf and Art SG. Additionally, the exhibition Literatura exposta in Rio was prematurely closed due to a contract violation.
