Private Dealers Host Open House During New York's American Art Week

A unique public event named Just Off Madison: An Open House is being organized by fourteen private dealers focused on American art, coinciding with New York's American Art Week from May 17-26, 2013. This event will take place along Madison Avenue between 67th and 80th streets, offering a three-hour opportunity this Wednesday for attendees to explore artworks that are usually not available for public viewing. Among the participating galleries are Betty Krulick Fine Art Ltd., showcasing Al Held's Untitled from 1961, as well as Avery Galleries, Jonathan Boos, Connor – Rosenkranz, LLC, and others. In addition, Alexandre Gallery is celebrating the week with a special exhibition of Stieglitz Group artists alongside Bernard Langlais. This event serves as an alternative to the major auctions at Christie's and Sotheby's during that time.
