Prisca Tankwey and Cedrick Nzolo to Lead Guest Lecture at Central Saint Martins
On Monday, April 24, from 12:30 to 14:00, artists Prisca Tankwey and Cedrick Nzolo, based in Kinshasa, will present a guest lecture at LVMH Lecture Theatre E002, Central Saint Martins. They will share insights about their involvement with Laboratoire Kontempo and the Another Roadmap Africa Cluster (ARAC). Established in 2019 by Mukenge/Schellhammer, Laboratoire Kontempo redefines the concept of 'contemporary' in Kinshasa, featuring a team that includes Cedrick Tshimbalanga, Priska Tankwey, Paulvi Ngimbi, and Jean Kamba. ARAC is dedicated to promoting arts education throughout Africa. Tankwey, born in 1997, received her MFA in 2019, focusing on themes of religion and identity, while Nzolo teaches textile and fashion design at Institut Supérieur des Arts et Métiers and leads Congo Design Arts.
