Prince's Paisley Park estate to open as museum in October

cultural-heritage · 2026-05-05

Prince's family will transform his Paisley Park residence in Minnesota into a museum, fulfilling the late singer's wish. The 6,000-square-meter property opens to the public on October 3, 2016, offering guided tours of his recording studio and a collection of images, objects, and musical instruments. Pre-sale tickets are available from late August. The estate's administrators, including the family and Bremer Trust, have approved the plan. In a statement, heirs said Paisley Park will give fans a unique experience and honor Prince's legacy, family, and community. The museum joins existing popstar museums such as ABBA in Sweden, Britney Spears in Kentwood, Michael Jackson's, and Iceland's Rock and Roll Museum in Keflavik.
