Primo Brown, hip hop legend, remembered by Cor Veleno

David Belardi, known as Primo Brown, passed away at the age of 39 during the transition from December 31, 2015, to January 1, 2016. A key player in the Italian hip hop scene, he was integral to the Rome music community. In June 2016, his band Cor Veleno, which he co-founded in 1994 with Squarta and Grandi Numeri (Giorgio Cinini), released "A Pieno Titolo," a tribute featuring Danno of Colle der Fomento. This track was among the final projects they completed with him prior to his illness, with the video crafted by You Nuts Productions' Niccolò Celaia and Antonio Usbergo. A tribute concert on March 25 at the Atlantico in Rome attracted over 3,000 fans. Primo's last album, "El Micro De Oro," was a collaboration with Tormento on the ThisPlay Urba label. Condolences poured in from artists including 99 Posse, Saturnino, and Jovanotti. Cor Veleno's sound incorporates elements of funk, soul, rap, jazz, rock, and Italian cantautore.
