Prima Diffusa returns to Milan for 13th edition with Verdi's La Forza del Destino
On December 7, 2024, the 13th edition of Prima Diffusa will showcase Giuseppe Verdi's La Forza del Destino at more than 30 locations throughout Milan and its surroundings. This opera, which debuted in 1862 in Saint Petersburg and was completed at La Scala in 1869, will feature Riccardo Chailly as the conductor and Leo Muscato as the director. Free screenings, requiring prior reservations, will take place at venues such as Malpensa Airport, Teatro Dal Verme, and San Vittore Prison, among others. An introduction by music history professor Marco Targa from the University of Calabria will precede the screening at Mumac. Milan's culture councilor Tommaso Sacchi highlighted the project’s collaborative nature and its role in promoting social cohesion. Teatro alla Scala is organizing the event.
