Premio Lydia 2024: Open Call for Under-35 Artists with €5,000 Grant

Fondazione Lazzaretto in Milan has launched the seventh edition of the Premio Lydia, an award for Italian emerging artists under 35. The open call runs from April 23 to May 24, 2024. The winner receives a €5,000 grant for a six-month research period, culminating in a public event at PAC Padiglione d'Arte Contemporanea in Milan in 2025. The theme is 'Sensing Beyond Human,' addressing ecological and sensory crises. The jury includes Silvia Costa, Francesco D'Abbraccio, Claudia D'Alonzo, Chiara Nuzzi, and Diego Sileo. Founded in 2018 in memory of sculptor Lydia Silvestri, the award shifted in 2023 from production to research support. Past winners include Chiara Enzo, Gaia De Megni, Valentina Furian, Daniele Costa, Rachele Maistrello, and Beatrice Favaretto. The foundation, directed by Linda Ronzoni, celebrates its tenth anniversary in 2024.
