Premio Imagonirmia 2019: Open Call for Urban Regeneration Art Projects

The fourth edition of the Premio Imagonirmia spostamento variabile, an art prize founded by the Mantoni family in memory of Elena Mantoni, a young visual arts and curatorial studies researcher at NABA who died in 2014, is now accepting applications. The prize is open to artists of any nationality, discipline, and age, and offers a residency, curatorial support, production assistance, and publication of project materials in the Quaderni di Imagonirmia by Viaindustriae. The award ceremony and presentation will take place on February 6 at 18:00 at the Fondo Tullio de Mauro in Turin, where Franco Ariaudo, winner of the third edition, will present his 'rassegna stampa performance' titled Il Giornale Ideale. For the 2019 edition, the prize moves to Modena, collaborating with Associazione Amigdala, Archivio Architetto Cesare Leonardi, and OvestLab fabbrica civica, focusing on the Villaggio Artigiano Modena Ovest, a post-war peripheral neighborhood of artisan houses and workshops. The winning project receives €2,500, a five-week residency from April to July 2019, travel reimbursement, pocket money, and a publication. Deadline for submissions is March 1.
